Zeinab Muhammad Ali, a nurse at the Tamale Teaching Hospital’s Emergency Burns Unit Red Zone, has been sentenced to six years in prison with hard labor for pouring boiling water on her husband during a domestic dispute.

The incident occurred after a disagreement between Zeinab and her husband, who refused to allow her to use his car. In response, Zeinab poured boiling water on him, causing severe burn injuries.

Following her arrest, Zeinab was brought before the Tamale High Court, where she was charged with causing harm. Justice Eric Ansah Ankomah presided over the case.
As a result of the attack, the victim is currently undergoing treatment at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) for his injuries.
