When the ball went out of play, Balogun approached the ball boy to retrieve it.
However, instead of handing it over, the mischievous kid pulled a prank, teasing Balogun by holding out the ball and then throwing it away just as the player reached for it.
The crowd found it amusing, but it caught the attention of a St Mirren staff member who promptly removed the ball boy from the pitch, signaling that he couldn’t continue his role.

Commentators found humor in the situation, one even jokingly commenting on the ball boy’s unique appearance before his “substitution”.
Despite the distraction, Rangers managed to secure a 2-1 victory in the Scottish Premiership match.
James Bolton’s own goal initially gave them the lead, but St Mirren’s Mikael Mandron equalized. However, Nigerian player Cyriel Dessers scored the winning goal for Rangers.
Despite the humorous incident, Rangers remain focused on their title battle with Celtic.
