Rodimer, who resides in Texas, is slated to appear before a Nevada judge on May 8 2024, after his indictment on Friday, April 26.
Tapp sustained a head injury on October 29, 2023 at the Resorts World hotel and passed away several days later in the hospital.
Initially presumed to be the result of a fall, investigators later discovered that Tapp had been involved in an altercation with Rodimer.

The defense attorneys for Rodimer, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, asserted their client’s innocence, stating that he looks forward to his day in court.
Tapp, who hailed from Idaho Falls, had spent over two decades in prison for a 1996 killing before receiving an $11.7 million settlement in 2022 from Idaho Falls in a wrongful conviction lawsuit.
Rodimer, a Republican candidate who unsuccessfully ran for Congress in Nevada in 2020 and in Texas in 2021, surrendered to Las Vegas police on March 6 and is currently out on a $200,000 bail.
