Charles Assampong Taylor, a former Ghanaian footballer, has made an unusual assertion, suggesting that Erling Haaland would face difficulty earning a position in Hearts of Oak’s initial lineup because of his playing style.

He argued that Erling Haaland’s impact on games beyond scoring goals is lacking, which presents a problem.
Last season, Haaland was the leading goal scorer in Europe while Pep Guardiola’s team secured the Premier League, FA Cup, and UEFA Champions League treble.
Despite maintaining an impressive goal-scoring record, the 23-year-old has faced criticism this season.

In a discussion on Angel TV, Taylor, a legendary figure in the Ghana Premier League, expressed doubt that Haaland’s style of play would secure him a spot in Hearts’ starting lineup.
“The manager needs to speak to Haaland. His style of play isn’t viable. If he were in Ghana, he wouldn’t even start for Hearts of Oak.”
“He won’t get into Hearts of Oak’s starting line-up. He’ll be on the bench with his style of play. He flops against the big teams. If you’re a player who can’t play against big teams, then how can you survive at Hearts of Oak?”
