During an interview on Arise News, the president of the association stated that she consults with her movie producers on any matter before concluding, especially since she wasn’t present on the day of the tragedy.
She mentioned that she reached out to the film producer, Adanma Luke, following the incident, and Luke informed her that she wasn’t there when the tragedy occurred.

However, during her absence, a production manager took charge and reported that although they provided a life jacket to the late actor Junior Pope, he insisted it was dirty.
In her opinion, as a prominent celebrity like Junior Pope, he should have requested the life jacket to be cleaned or asked for a new one, and firmly insisted on not proceeding until his requests were fulfilled.
