Polish Man Arrested for Alleged Involvement in Russian Plot to Kill Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky

A Polish man is facing charges for allegedly aiding an alleged Russian conspiracy to assassinate Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky according to reports.

Polish prosecutors stated that the individual, identified as Pawel K, purportedly received instructions to gather information about an airport in Poland utilized by Ukraine’s president.

They further added that the arrest was based on information provided by Ukrainian intelligence.

Authorities did not specify whether the individual had indeed transmitted any gathered information.

If found guilty, he could potentially face up to eight years in prison. Currently, the suspect is in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.

In a statement, Polish prosecutors claimed that Pawel K had offered his services to Russian military intelligence. He contacted Russians “directly involved in the war in Ukraine,” they added.

They stated that Pawel K had been assigned to gather information concerning security at Rzeszow-Jasionka Airport in southeastern Poland.

Ukrainian authorities disclosed that they uncovered the plot and provided crucial evidence to Polish officials. Subsequently, the accused was apprehended on Polish soil.

Polish prosecutors said the man had contacted Russians “directly involved in the war in Ukraine,” though it was not clear from official statements whether he had handed over any information, or even collected it.
