Spanish Manchester City defensive midfielder, Rodri, has slammed Real Madrid following their defensive approach to the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals game at the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City were beaten by Real Madrid in a penalty shootout after two draws in both legs of the quarterfinal clash. Real Madrid will go ahead to face Bayern Munich in the UCL semifinals whiles Borussia Dortmund go against Paris Saint Germain.

Rodri, known fully as Rodrigo Cascante, has stated that from the game between Manchester City and Real Madrid, he only witnesses just one team play throughout the whole 120 minutes.

Rodri went ahead to criticize the defensive style of play in their Champions League quarter-final second leg clash. In an interview with BBC, Rodri stated: “To be honest, I’ve only seen one team today. We knew the game was going to be long for them, but we didn’t expect that they were going to be so, so far deep.”
Rodri and his Manchester City side were hoping to defend the UEFA Champions League title but could not achieve this feat.
