Ashley Owusu, the Ghanaian-American professional basketball player, has been selected as the 33rd overall in the 2024 Womens’ National Basketball Associatiion Draft that is taking place in April 2024.

Ashley Owusu joins the Dallas Wings of the Women’s National Basketball Association is the second Ghanaian to be drafted in the WNBA in the last two years after Laeticia Amihere was selected as the eight overall in the 2023 WNBA Draft by Atlanta Dream.

The Dallas Wing drafted Ashley Owusu as their third player in the draft after initially selecting the likes of Jacy Sheldon and Carla Leite.
Ashley Owusu is a shooting guard and point guard who has the potential to become a top basketball player in the coming years.
Ashley Owusu commenced her basketball career at the St. Paul VI Catholic High School in Virginia and made it to the McDonald’s All-American in 2019.
Ashley Owusu played college basketball for the University of Maryland, Virginia Tech University, and the Pennsylvania State University.
