Asamoah Gyan Expresses Willingness To Be Bawumia’s Running Mate

Asamoah Gyan, one of the greatest ever footballers in Ghana’s history, has revealed that it will be a great honour for him to be given the opportunity to serve as the running mate to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in the December 7, 2024 polls.

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party and he is yet to disclose his running mate.

With the clock ticking, people are identifying some notable people in the New Patriotic Party and Asamoah Gyan happens to be one of the people who could partner Bawumia for the upcoming election.

Asamoah Gyan stated clearly that it would be very difficult for him to turn down the opportunity of becoming the running mate to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for the NPP when the opportunity comes knocking.

The public become divided when Asamoah Gyan was listed as one of the members of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s manifesto committee for sports some months ago.

Asamoah Gyan also revealed that people have encouraged him to venture into politics and take up the role of a Member of Parliament since about a decade ago.

After hanging his boots inn 2023, Asamoah Gyan is likely to venture into full-time politics in the coming years as he feels the urge to contribute to sports development through policies and politics.
