In the interview, Davido reflected on the changing dynamics of collaborations between Afrobeat artists and their American counterparts. He noted that while it was once a significant milestone for an Afrobeat artist to collaborate with an American performer, the tables have turned in recent years. Now, it is American artists who are eager to collaborate with Afrobeat artists, signaling the growing influence and global recognition of the Afrobeat genre.
However, despite the increased interest from American artists, Davido expressed a level of contentment with his current collaborations.

Davido emphasized that beyond Chris Brown, he has no immediate plans to pursue further collaborations with American artists, indicating a focus on cultivating his unique sound and style within the Afrobeat genre.

One artist on Davido’s radar, however, is the multi-talented Rihanna. Davido revealed that Rihanna had previously declared his song “Unavailable” as her favorite, sparking excitement and anticipation for a potential collaboration between the two artists. With Rihanna’s immense global appeal and Davido’s rising prominence in the music industry, a collaboration between the two would undoubtedly be a monumental moment for both Afrobeat and mainstream music.
“Aside Chris Brown, I’m not going to disturb myself for any other American collaboration. Rihanna said Unavailable is her best song, so I’m waiting to work with her” – Davido pic.twitter.com/hmg1Rd8WY2
