TGMA Board to Address Petitions from Amerado and Sista Afia, Says Robert Klah

The Public Relations Officer for Charterhouse, Robert Klah, has stated that the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs) will soon provide comprehensive information about petitions submitted by certain artists who were not included in the nominations.

He stressed that any discrepancies in the nomination process would be acknowledged and addressed appropriately.

Following the unveiling of the 2024 TGMA nominee list, concerns were raised by artists such as Amerado and Sista Afia, who discovered that their songs were absent from the nominations.

During an interview on Hitz FM on April 12, 2024, Robert Klah reassured that the TGMA board had deliberated on the petitions, and decisions would be made public in due time.

“There will be forthcoming information regarding all submissions received for the Ghana Music Awards and the resulting nominees. This relates to the one-week window. The board has convened, and details will be shared.

“If any errors or omissions are identified, they will be communicated and rectified. The specifics of submissions and necessary rectifications will be addressed,” he said.

Robert Klah also encouraged artists with concerns about the nominations to step forward, emphasizing Charterhouse’s dedication to collaborating with artists and fostering positive relationships within the music community.

“If any artist feels uneasy about the process, they should reach out to us. Dialogue is crucial. We aim to foster a supportive environment and ensure artists know we are here for them,” he added.
