Nagbo, the housekeeper, resided with the complainant Mr. Awuah, and his family.

The prosecution also revealed that Nagbo confessed to the offense in his cautionary statement and implicated Joel as an accomplice.

DSP Nyamekye explained that the investigation uncovered Nagbo’s employment as a housekeeper for the complainant since November 2023. It was also revealed that Nagbo had previous discussions with Joel, his longtime friend from Jasikan in the Oti Region who now resides in Ashaiman. Together, they orchestrated a plan to steal the complainant’s vehicles.

He posited that, to execute their scheme, Nagbo invited Joel to the complainant’s residence in February 2024. There, they photographed the vehicles and sent the images to a potential buyer in Tema.

The police also uncovered that the intention was to abduct the complainant and his wife and confine them to their room, as they were described as frail and elderly.

DSP Nyamekye informed the court that Nagbo was also knowledgeable about the whereabouts of the keys to those vehicles.
