K-Pop Singer Park Boram Found Dead at 30

K-pop singer Park Boram, known for her powerful vocals and impactful presence in the music industry, was found dead on Tuesday, April 11, 2024, according to a confirmation from her record label in Korea. She was 30 years old.

Park’s agency, Xanadu Entertainment, announced the sudden passing of the singer-songwriter-actor on Friday, April 12 in Korea.

The cause of death is currently under investigation by the police. Reports indicate that Park was actively working on new music, following the release of two new songs earlier this year.

Making her mark on the K-pop scene at the age of 17, Park Boram gained recognition as a contestant on the 2010 singing competition series Super Star K2.

Her talent and love for R&B music propelled her to become one of the youngest finalists on the show, finishing in eighth place

She officially debuted on August 7, 2014, with the single “Beautiful,” featuring rapper Zico. The song peaked at No. 2 on Korea’s local Gaon singles chart and earned her the Artist of the Year honor at the 2014 Gaon Chart Music Awards.

Park’s music often reflected her personal experiences, including her struggles with body image and self-esteem. The semi-autobiographical nature of her songs resonated with audiences, inspiring many to pursue self-improvement and empowerment.
