Gyan, famous for his impressive goal-scoring record and captaincy skills, picked a strong team mostly comprised of players he either played with or admired during his formative years.

Gyan chose his ex-teammate Richard Kingston as the goalkeeper, supported by a sturdy defense line featuring John Mensah and Samuel Osei Kuffuor at the heart, with John Paintsil and Hans Adu-Sarpei on the wings.

In midfield, Gyan assembled a formidable lineup with Michael Essien and Stephen Appiah as the driving force, flanked by Sulley Muntari on the left and Yaw Preko on the right. He honored Ghanaian football legend Abedi Pele with the coveted number 10 role while taking the lead in the forward position himself.

Gyan’s lineup notably excluded Andre Ayew, who is the current captain for the Black Stars. Also missing was Laryea Kingston, recognized for his influential displays on the wings during his playing career.
