After the actress’s death, her brother confronted Funke Akindele, accusing her of publicly mourning while allegedly neglecting his sister during her final moments.
Following Jumoke’s brother publicly confronted Funke Akindele, he revealed that his sister had made multiple attempts to reach out to Funke directly and through mutual friends, but Funke did not respond or offer any assistance.
In response, Funke Akindele broke down in tears during an Instagram Live session, expressing her sorrow over the losses she has endured, including her mother, husband, and political challenges. She mentioned her struggle to rebuild her life amidst these hardships.

Funke also mentioned that while Jumoke was alive, she reached out to Jide Awobona to inquire about her. He responded by indicating that Jumoke preferred individuals to contact her directly regarding job opportunities.
Adeola responded to her Instagram live video by criticizing her to quit acting, claiming that the actress only reached out to him after Jumoke had passed away. He found it odd that she didn’t have Jumoke’s phone number and questioned why he had to contact her colleague, Jide Awobona, to reach Jumoke before her demise.
