Ghanaian artist Criss Waddle recently took to social media to express his dismay at friends who have not shown support for his latest music releases. In a post, he highlighted the irony of strangers actively promoting his songs while those closest to him remain noticeably silent.

In his message, Waddle lamented the lack of support from his inner circle, saying they are always eager to invite him to their events. He expressed disappointment that many of his friends are quick to request his presence at their parties, weddings, naming ceremonies, and even funerals of relatives he has never met. However, when it comes to supporting his musical endeavours, they seem to be absent.

“The irony is glaring,” Waddle wrote. “I see most people I call friends not even supporting my song. Most of the posts on social media with the song are from thousands of people I’ve never met.”

Waddle also highlighted the hypocrisy of friends who turn to him for financial assistance behind the scenes but fail to promote his music publicly.

“The broke ones too come asking you for money behind the scenes but won’t promote your songs on social media to be streamed,” he stated. “Yet, when they need money… if anyone asks me for money from today, I will screenshot it and post it on Snapchat.”
