A tragic incident has unfolded in Juaso as a 21-year-old farmer stands accused of fatally assaulting his 65-year-old father, John Kwabena Asare.

The incident occurred during a heated altercation between the two, the exact cause of which is yet to be determined by authorities.
The suspect, identified as Kwadwo Amponsah, was apprehended by concerned neighbors following the violent encounter
Despite being taken into custody, Amponsah has remained tight-lipped about the events leading up to the fatal confrontation.

According to police reports, the victim sustained severe injuries to the forehead inflicted by a mini cutlass during the altercation.
He was promptly rushed to the Juaso Government Hospital but tragically succumbed to his injuries upon admission on Monday, April 8, 2024.
In light of the incident, Amponsah is currently in police custody as investigations into the matter continue. Authorities are preparing to present him before the court to face charges related to the alleged murder of his father.
