Stephen Blewett Appointed as MTN Ghana’s New CEO

Stephen Blewett has taken on the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at MTN Ghana, succeeding Selorm Adadevoh, who now serves as the Chief Commercial Officer of the MTN Group.

Before becoming CEO, Blewett worked as the MTN Operations Executive for Markets.

He recently rejoined MTN in July 2023, where he oversaw operations in smaller West and Central Africa markets and supported the Group’s Senior Vice President for Markets.

Prior to his return, Blewett served as the Chief Operating Officer of Digicel and held CEO positions at MTN Benin and MTN Cameroon during his seven-year stint at MTN.

Ishmael Yamson, the Chairman of the Board of MTN Ghana, expressed excitement about Blewett’s appointment, emphasizing collaboration to drive the company towards achieving its Ambition 2025 strategy and beyond.

MTN, Africa’s largest mobile network operator, serves 295 million customers across 19 markets, offering voice, data, fintech, digital, enterprise, wholesale, and API services.

Blewett’s appointment signifies a new chapter for MTN Ghana as it continues to navigate the dynamic telecommunications landscape in Africa.
