In matches against Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Uganda’s Cranes, the Black Stars suffered a defeat and settled for a 2-2 draw.
Previously ranked 67th globally, Ghana has now slipped to 68th place following these matches. The United Arab Emirates has overtaken Ghana in the rankings.
Despite this drop, Ghana maintains its standing as the 14th best team in Africa, although they have endured a streak of seven winless games.
Notably, the top 15 teams on the continent, including Morocco, Senegal, and Nigeria, have retained their positions in the rankings.

Ghana’s football journey has been marked by notable achievements and challenges. Since their first qualification for the FIFA World Cup in 2006, Ghana has showcased its talent on the international stage.
With four Africa Cup of Nations titles and multiple appearances in the CHAN, the team has established itself as a force in African football.
However, recent tournaments have posed challenges for the Black Stars. Despite the return of Manager Rajevac in 2021, the team faced disappointment at the Africa Cup of Nations, failing to win a match and finishing at the bottom of their group.
Nevertheless, Ghana displayed resilience during the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, securing their spot with a draw against Nigeria.
In the tournament, they faced tough competition but managed to secure a thrilling victory against South Korea, showcasing their determination and skill on the field.
