Seun Kuti, a well-known musician, has voiced concerns about the prevalence of ‘Gabrielism’ in Nigeria’s entertainment industry. This comes in the wake of the arrest and ongoing detention of an online critic known as Verydarkman.

Verydarkman was arrested after a public dispute with Bobrisky, a popular figure in the industry. He had suggested that Bobrisky was receiving patronage from Nigerian politicians, which led to his arrest.

Kuti has spoken out about the issue, suggesting that ‘Gabrielism’ is widespread in the industry, but largely unknown to the public. He expressed concern that speaking out could lead to his own arrest, much like Verydarkman’s situation.
