In a tweet on March 29, 2024, Amerado expressed his bewilderment, questioning why his song, despite being a hit in its original version, did not receive any consideration for any category.

“Dear @GHMusicAwards, Why was Kwaku Ananse (original) not nominated?,” the curator of Yeete Nsem wrote.

Meanwhile, Amerado received two nominations for Best Rap Performance for “The Hardest” and “Kwaku Ananse Remix,” featuring Fameye, at the recently concluded 2024 awards ceremony.

The nominations for this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards were unveiled during the launch of the awards ceremony on March 28, 2024, held at the AICC.

The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on June 1, 2024, aiming to honor all participants in the music industry who have showcased their resilience throughout the year under review.
