The final journey of the late Deputy Finance Minister and Member of Parliament (MP) for Ejisu in the Ashanti Region, Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah, will conclude on Saturday, May 18, 2024, with his funeral scheduled to take place on that day.

The final funeral rites will follow on Sunday, May 19.
This announcement comes after a solemn one-week observance held in Ejisu on Thursday, March 28 2024, attended by family members, dignitaries, including Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and sympathizers who gathered to pay their respects and mourn the passing of Dr. Kumah.

During the heartfelt event, mourners, including his constituents, clad in red and black attire to signify their grief and sorrow, reminisced about Dr. Kumah’s unwavering dedication to public service, highlighting his hard work and unwavering integrity.
At the age of 45, the lawmaker passed away earlier this month after a brief illness, leaving behind a grieving wife and six children.
Fondly known as Lawyer John Kumah, he was widely admired for his tireless efforts in job creation and was revered as a symbol of hope in his community, serving as an inspiration to both the young and old alike.
