Reflecting on her own teenage years, Wilson admits to feeling embarrassed and avoiding conversations about virginity. She even fabricated a vague story about losing it at 23 to her best friend just to “get it over with.”

However, her perspective has evolved, and she now emphasizes that there is no right or wrong timeline for exploring one’s sexuality. Her message of acceptance and self-love resonates with those who may feel societal pressure to conform to specific norms.

Wilson wants to reassure young people that it’s okay not to rush into things. She says, “You can wait until you’re ready or more mature. You don’t have to feel pressured.”

Wilson admits that she felt like a “late bloomer” and believes that if she were 20 years younger, her exploration of her sexuality would have been different. She says, “If I had been born 20 years later, I probably would’ve explored my sexuality more.”

Wilson’s journey of self-discovery began after her father’s death. She started to open up to the idea of marriage and later developed feelings for a woman. She believes this is a reflection of societal changes.

Today, Wilson is engaged to designer Ramona Agruma and they welcomed their first child, Royce Lillian, via surrogate in November 2022.

Wilson hopes that by sharing her story, she can alleviate the pressure on her younger fans. Her memoir, “Rebel Rising” is now available for preorder.
