Rumors circulating about mysterious instances of disappearing penises in Kasoa and its surroundings have been refuted by the Municipal Security Council (MUSEC) of the Awutu Senya East Municipal Assembly.

In a statement issued by Anita Love Obo Amissah, the Municipal Chief Executive and Head of the Municipal Security Council, it was clarified that there is no substantiated medical evidence to support claims of such occurrences in the area.
“It has come to the attention of the Municipal Security Council that some residents are peddling rumors that some ritualists are in the Municipality and that anytime they touch the genitalia area of a male, the penis of the victim disappears,” the statement read.
Investigations conducted by the council have failed to validate these rumors, which have caused fear, panic, and chaos among the residents of Awutu Senya East Municipality.

The council has urged the public to disregard these false rumors and go about their daily activities without fear. Additionally, it has emphasized its commitment to identifying and punishing individuals found guilty of spreading such misinformation.
“The Security Council has taken a very serious exception of the matter and as such wishes to inform the general public to go about their normal duties without fear, and that the Security Council are on top of their jobs to ensure a happy Easter Celebration,” the statement affirmed.
Furthermore, the council cautioned that strict sanctions will be imposed on anyone apprehended and proven to be spreading false rumors about the disappearance of male genitals.
