The Presidential Aspirant emphasized the urgent requirement for international distribution channels to facilitate the global promotion of Ghanaian creative content.

In a discussion with 3Xtra’s Kwaku King, Cheddar expressed his belief that implementing international distribution channels is the ideal approach to enhance the creative sector. He cited examples of successful strategies employed by international organizations like FIFA to support his viewpoint.

“Again, it’s industrialization. You need to be able to give it an industrial platform before it will become a global certified product for people. You need to get a room for industrialization.”

“If we are able to create distribution channels for our content that can make it go to the world. One of the things that made FIFA one of the biggest organizations is broadcasting and it is because the machine is big to broadcast football to five million people at the same time”.

“I think Ghana has to do the same thing for media platforms, for the entertainment equipment and studios. We can have a big studio that will bring South Africans and other people to come and create content in Ghana,” he added.

He mentioned that Ghana’s deficiency in the entertainment sector lies in the absence of industrialization, particularly in establishing a technology hub akin to Silicon Valley. This, he believes, would create more opportunities for digital ventures.
