Shooting Occurs in Agbedor-Kofe as Farmer guns down Brother and Bystander in Ongoing Feud

A tragic incident has rocked the quiet community of Agbedor-Kofe in the Agotime-Ziope District of the Volta Region, as a farmer stands accused of fatally shooting his own brother and an innocent bystander during a heated altercation.

Kofi Nugo, a 49-year-old farmer, has been apprehended by authorities following the shooting that left his brother, Robert, critically wounded, and a bystander named Hunor Adza injured.

Reports indicate that Adza’s condition is stable, while Robert remains in critical condition at the Ho Teaching Hospital.

According to eyewitnesses and police sources, the incident unfolded on the evening of Thursday, March 21, when Kofi Nugo arrived at a meeting attended by his mother, Madam Agbowugbe Abadzivor.

Nugo allegedly attempted to forcibly take his mother to his house for discussions, prompting objections from his brother, Robert.

The situation quickly escalated when Robert intervened, leading to a physical altercation between the siblings. In a fit of rage, Kofi Nugo retrieved a firearm from his house and aimed it at his brother.

Tragically, a bystander named Hunor Adza was inadvertently shot by Nugo during the confrontation.

In a heroic attempt to save Adza, Robert rushed to his aid, only to become the target of Nugo’s gunfire. F

ollowing the shooting, Nugo fled the scene but was subsequently apprehended by law enforcement officers on Friday, March 22, at his hideout.

Currently, Kofi Nugo is in police custody, cooperating with authorities as investigations into the incident continue.
