An arrest warrant has been issued for Detroit Lions cornerback Cameron Sutton by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office in Florida, as per records from the department.

The warrant pertains to a charge of domestic battery by strangulation in connection with an incident reported on March 7, 2024, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities responded to a call at a residence in Lutz, Fla., near Tampa, at 4:52 a.m. ET, where they found a woman who claimed to have been battered. Sutton had left the scene by the time deputies arrived.
Despite multiple attempts to reach Sutton, including phone calls and visits to his residence, law enforcement has been unable to make contact with him. It is believed that he is currently without his phone.
Efforts to reach him have been ongoing for over a week and a half.

Upon learning of the situation, the Lions released a statement saying, “We became aware of the ongoing legal situation involving Cam Sutton this morning. We will continue to monitor the situation and will not have further comment at this time.”
No response was immediately received from Sutton’s agent.
Sutton played in all 17 games for the Lions during the 2023 season, recording 65 tackles, an interception, a forced fumble, and six passes defended. He joined the Lions last season after spending six years with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
