During a court hearing on Monday, March 18, 2024, it was revealed that Price had not responded to HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) regarding the debt, which had been demanded since October 2023.

The court learned that the unpaid tax bill stems from self-assessments for the years 2020-2021 and 2021-2022, encompassing income tax, VAT, surcharges, and interest.

Despite the summons, Price did not attend the brief hearing. Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Sebastian Prentis deemed the debt substantial and made a bankruptcy order against her.

This is not Price’s first encounter with bankruptcy. She was initially declared bankrupt in 2019 over unpaid debts. Furthermore, in February, 2024, Price was ordered to forfeit 40% of her income from the adult entertainment website OnlyFans for the next three years due to separate unpaid debts.

Price is also facing questions about her finances in April in connection with the OnlyFans dispute. Last August, she was fined £880 for driving without insurance and a licence in Northamptonshire.

The bankruptcy order follows Price’s candid discussions about her financial struggles. In August 2023, she admitted on Michelle Visage’s Rule Breakers podcast that she had been to court numerous times and expressed indifference towards the possibility of being jailed.

Price has been open about her mental health challenges, acknowledging her struggles during an appearance on Jeremy Vine’s Channel 5 show in March 2023. She emphasized that individuals should not feel ashamed of bankruptcy and revealed that she had been unable to properly address her financial issues due to her mental state.
