Award-winning Gospel musician MOG has addressed criticisms surrounding his recent comments on the Presidential assent of the Anti-LGBTQI bill.

In an interview on UTV, he chose not to publicly disclose his stance on the bill to safeguard his reputation as a gospel artist. Following this, he faced backlash for his decision, especially considering his Christian faith.

Speaking on TV3’s New Day, MOG clarified that his remarks were specifically about the bill’s assent and related Supreme Court issues, not about LGBTQI activities themselves.

He emphasized his commitment to the Christian faith and commitment to aligning with scriptural teachings regarding LGBTQI matters.
Despite facing misinterpretations and attacks from critics, MOG remained steadfast in his beliefs, asserting that attempts to tarnish his reputation would not succeed. He reiterated his dedication to upholding his Christian values and emphasized that he stands by his faith in God.
The Anti-LGBTQI bill is currently pending President Akufo-Addo’s approval before becoming law. Additionally, a Ghanaian citizen, Richard Dela Sky, has taken legal action at the Supreme Court to prevent the bill’s assent, citing constitutional violations.
