Recounting Jake’s struggles since high school, Lisa described how his personality began to change, with him expressing confusion about different realities and exhibiting signs of bipolar disorder.

Despite seeking medical assistance and trying various medications, Jake’s condition persisted, ultimately leading to a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia.

Lisa shared the profound impact of this diagnosis on Jake, exacerbating his depression and complicating his journey towards recovery.

Jake’s mental health deteriorated further in March 2023 when he experienced a full-blown psychotic break, prompting a concerning incident where he stopped his car in the middle of a busy road, leading to police intervention.

Following this pivotal event, Jake embarked on an 18-month rehabilitation program at a mental health facility, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

Despite the challenges, Lisa expressed optimism about Jake’s progress, noting his gradual improvement and increased social engagement.

She also revealed Jake’s enduring love for the Star Wars franchise, dispelling misconceptions about his relationship with the series and affirming his continued enthusiasm for the iconic saga.
