Omah Lay Expresses Surprise After Davido’s Shoutout

Popular Nigerian Afrobeats singer Omah Lay was pleasantly surprised when Davido (OBO) gave him a shoutout during a livestream with Kai Cenat, a popular streamer from The States.

The genuine gesture left Omah Lay feeling touched, prompting him to share his emotions on Twitter. He revealed his previous belief that the OG musician harbored ill feelings towards him, only to discover otherwise.

During a late-night drive with Kai Cenat, Davido played Omah Lay’s track ‘Reason’ and introduced the singer to Kai, praising him as “Hot asf.”

Kai Cenat humorously recalled Omah Lay as the guy who once danced with someone else’s girlfriend on stage, expressing a mix of fear and jest, pleading for his girlfriend’s safety.

Omah Lay expressed gratitude for the exposure Davido provided during the livestream, which reassured him of the singer’s positive regard.
