According to a report by The Will, the rich businesswoman’s marriage presented substantial obstacles.
Despite having four children, the couple is no longer staying together in their luxurious matrimonial house in Ikoyi, Lagos.
According to people familiar with the matter, despite their public front, the couple’s relationship has been strained for several years, and they have maintained a united front solely because of their public prominence.

The couple has reportedly had regular disagreements, forcing Folorunsho to desire privacy at her home.

Who is Folorunsho Alakija?
Folorunsho Alakija, a Nigerian businesswoman and philanthropist, was born on July 15, 1951.
She serves as the group managing director of The Rose of Sharon Group and executive vice chairman of Famfa Oil Limited.
She has been named to Forbes World’s 100 most powerful women several times.
On July 17, 2021, Benson Idahosa University in Benin City awarded her an honorary doctorate degree in business administration.
Alakija and her husband, Modupe Alakija, married in November 1976.
