Speaking at a townhall meeting in Wa during his “Building the Ghana We Want” tour of the Upper West Region, Mahama expressed his commitment to utilizing available resources to finalize abandoned projects before embarking on new endeavors.

Mahama highlighted specific projects like those at the SD Dombo University for Business and Integrated Development Studies (SDD-UBIDS), including the late President John Evans Atta Mills’ unfulfilled promises of key infrastructure.

He pledged to prioritize the completion of these essential facilities to enhance teaching and learning within the university.

Addressing critical road infrastructure issues, Mahama acknowledged the longstanding neglect of roads like the Wa-Tumu-Bolgatanga and Wa-Bole-Bamboi routes, vowing to address these deficiencies if elected.

He underscored the importance of safe and efficient transportation, particularly for healthcare access, demonstrating his commitment to improving connectivity and infrastructure across the region.

As Mahama continues his engagements with various stakeholders in the Upper West Region, including clergy, labor unions, traditional leaders, farmers, and tertiary institutions, his message is to fulfill existing commitments before embarking on new development initiatives.
