Wizkid humbly reflects on his achievements, feels there’s more to accomplish

Grammy Award-winning artist Wizkid, also known as Ayodeji Balogun, recently shared his perspective on his musical journey, emphasizing that he sees it as just beginning despite his past achievements.

In a candid interview with BBC Radio 1Xtra, the celebrated Nigerian singer expressed his belief that there is still much more for him to explore and accomplish in the music industry, despite his previous successes in terms of streams and chart-topping hits.

He said, “The journey is about to begin for Wizkid. I don’t see myself as someone who has achieved something major yet. For me, music is a forever thing.”

Wizkid’s passion for music runs deep, transcending mere breaks as he feels the fire burning within him every day. Notably, he is recognized as one of Africa’s most financially successful artists and holds the record for the highest number of awards received by an artist on the continent.

Additionally, Wizkid holds the title of Sub-Saharan Africa’s most streamed artist across various platforms and ranks as the second most followed Nigerian musician on social media, trailing only behind Davido.
