Born Edward Nana Poku Osei, Hammer revealed that the primary reason for their separation was the absence of genuine love between them. He confessed that their decision to marry was primarily influenced by their shared child, as he didn’t want her to be labeled a ‘born one’.
Despite less than five months of marriage, they mutually agreed to part ways amicably upon realizing their incompatibility.

Hammer emphasized that while their union lacked the deep romantic connection typical of marriages, they maintained a strong friendship as they co-parented their children.
Reflecting on his experience, Hammer acknowledged the challenges many face in relationships and highlighted the importance of compatibility and genuine love in a marriage.
Although he has not remarried and is in no rush to do so, Hammer expressed openness to the idea of marrying his current partner in due time, emphasizing the significance of timing and ensuring a stable environment for his children before taking such a significant step.
