Dominic Danquah, an aide to the late minister, voiced his distress over the purported poisoning of his superior.
Expressing disbelief, Danquah questioned the motives behind such a heinous act, invoking a sense of resignation with the phrase “Why would anyone think of poisoning John Kumah?…God knows best.”
These allegations gained traction following assertions made by Captain Smart, a presenter on Onua TV, who boldly suggested that Kumah fell victim to poisoning, alongside other prominent figures.

Smart pointed fingers at unidentified perpetrators, insinuating a deliberate attempt on Kumah’s life. Despite claims that the deceased sought medical treatment abroad following the alleged poisoning, official sources maintain that Kumah succumbed to a brief illness, casting doubt on the poisoning narrative.
Captain Smart further fueled speculation by suggesting ulterior motives behind Kumah’s demise, positing that his rising influence posed a threat to certain interests.
The sudden passing of the Member of Parliament for Ejisu, affectionately known as Lawyer John Kumah, leaves behind a grieving family, including a wife and six children.
