Nathan Joseph Hochman is an American lawyer and candidate for Los Angeles County District Attorney. In 2008, Hochman was the United States Assistant Attorney General for the Tax Division of the Department of Justice.

President George W. Bush named Hochman as the United States Assistant Attorney General, in charge of the Department of Justice’s Tax Division. On December 19, 2007, the United States Senate confirmed him overwhelmingly.

As an Ethics Commissioner, Hochman spearheaded a proposal to provide monetary incentives to increase voter turnout in Los Angeles special elections. He was the commission’s president in 2014.
