Nathan Joseph Hochman is an American attorney who is running for District Attorney of Los Angeles County. In 2008, Hochman was the United States Assistant Attorney General for the Tax Division of the US Department of Justice.

President George W. Bush selected Hochman as United States Assistant Attorney General, where he oversaw the Tax Division of the Department of Justice. The United States Senate confirmed him overwhelmingly on December 19, 2007.
As an Ethics Commissioner, Hochman led a plan to provide monetary incentives to increase voter turnout in special elections in Los Angeles. In 2014, he presided over the commission.
