American Broadway singer and actress Linda Balgord is best known for her performances as Norma Desmond in the 1996 US tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical Sunset Boulevard, as the final Grizabella in the original Broadway production of Cats, and as the lead actress in the Broadway production of The Pirate Queen.

Between the end of her undergraduate degree and the start of her doctoral studies between 1982 and 1984, Balgord performed at the Fireside Theatre in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.

After relocating to New York in 1990, she was cast in the main part of Aspects of Love, a two-year national tour, after just five months. She made her Broadway debut in Passion. At the age of 64, Linda Balgord passed away in Naples, Florida, on March 5, 2024.

In July 1993, Balgord tied the knot with stage manager Andrew Fenton. They first connected while working on the Toronto production of Aspects of Love.

Linda loved Andy Fenton, her husband. Their collaboration lasted for over thirty years.The couple were not known to have children.
