Mark Damon, the acclaimed American film producer and actor, passed away on May 12, 2024, in Los Angeles at the age of 91. Damon, born Alan Harris on April 22, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, had a prolific career spanning over six decades in Hollywood.

Damon lived with his wife, actress Margaret Markov, in Beverly Hills, California. They had two children together.
Damon’s net worth before his passing was not publicly disclosed, but he was known as one of Hollywood’s most prolific producers, founding several successful production companies such as Producers Sales Organization, Vision International, MDP Worldwide, and Foresight Unlimited.

As an actor, Damon won the Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year for his performance in Roger Corman’s House of Usher in 1960. He later moved to Italy and became a notable Spaghetti Western star and member of the 1960s ‘Dolce Vita’ set of actors and actresses in Rome.
In the early 1970s, Damon transitioned into film producing and produced numerous successful films, including 91⁄2 Weeks, The Lost Boys, Short Circuit, and Lone Survivor.
Unfortunately, what caused his death is not known.
