Who is Mr Ibu’s daughter? Meet Chelsea Okafor – Mr. Ibu’s daughter, Chelsea Okafor, is one of the children he had with his wife, Stella Maris Okafor.

Chelsea is part of the Okafor family, which includes her siblings, Emmanuel Mandela Okafor and JayJay Okafor.

From his numerous partnerships, Mr. Ibu has a total of 14 children—both biological and adopted—one of whom is deceased.

Born on 17 October 1961, in Umunekwu, Nigeria, Mr. Ibu faced challenges from a young age.

After his father’s death in 1974, he moved to Sapele to live with his brother and took on various menial jobs to support his family while attending school.

He explored various professions, working as a hairstylist, photographer, and even in a crate-producing company.

Despite financial struggles, Mr. Ibu persevered and eventually enrolled in the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu.

Mr. Ibu entered the Nollywood scene and quickly rose to fame. He starred in over 200 films, with the “Mr. Ibu” series solidifying his position as a comedic powerhouse.

His films, including “Mr. Ibu (2004),” “Mr. Ibu 2 (2005),” “Mr. Ibu in London (2005),” and “Ibu in Prison (2006),” brought laughter to audiences across Nigeria and beyond.

Mr. Ibu briefly ventured into music, releasing songs in 2020. In October 2023, he bravely shared his struggles with a health condition that threatened leg amputation.

He received public support, including financial assistance from the Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation.

Despite undergoing several surgeries and an eventual leg amputation, Mr. Ibu sadly passed away on March 2, 2024.
