The verdict marks a significant milestone in a case that has left a community reeling and a family shattered.

The 49-year-old Troconis was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder, as well as tampering with evidence and hindering prosecution in connection with the killing of Jennifer Dulos, a 50-year-old mother of five whose body has never been recovered.

The verdict comes after a grueling seven-week trial, during which Troconis steadfastly maintained her innocence.

After two full days of deliberation, the six-member jury delivered their verdict, causing Troconis to lay her head down on the defense table in what appeared to be a moment of profound disbelief.

Her sentencing has been scheduled for May 31, 2024, with the judge setting her bond at $6 million.

The conviction of Troconis represents a crucial step toward accountability in the eyes of Jennifer Dulos’ family, who have endured unimaginable pain and uncertainty since her disappearance.

In a statement issued following the verdict, a spokeswoman for the Dulos family emphasized that while the outcome brings a measure of closure, there can be no true victory when five children are left without their mother.

Outside the courthouse, Troconis’ relatives expressed their dismay at the jury’s decision, adamantly asserting her innocence and calling the verdict an injustice

Claudia Marmol, Troconis’ sister, declared that they still seek the truth about Jennifer’s disappearance and lamented the portrayal of Troconis as the guilty party.

Meanwhile, Jon Schoenhorn, the family’s attorney, announced plans to file a motion for a new trial, underscoring the contentious nature of the case and the ongoing quest for justice.

The saga surrounding Jennifer Dulos’ disappearance took a tragic turn with the death of Fotis Dulos, Troconis’ boyfriend and the primary suspect in the case.

Facing charges of felony murder, kidnapping, and other crimes, Fotis Dulos succumbed to a suicide attempt while under house arrest, leaving behind a note denying any involvement in Jennifer’s disappearance.

As the legal proceedings continue and the search for answers persists, the conviction of Michelle Troconis serves as a somber reminder of the enduring impact of Jennifer Dulos’ untimely loss and the quest for justice that continues to unfold.
