Elden Ring, the acclaimed fantasy action RPG, has announced a new expansion called “Shadow of the Erdtree”. This expansion is FromSoftware’s largest to date and it adds a plethora of new content to the game.

New Story
The expansion introduces a new story where players are guided by Empyrean Miquella to the Land of Shadow, a place obscured by the Erdtree where the goddess Marika first set foot. In these strange new lands, players discover the dark secrets of the world as they meet others who follow in Miquella’s footsteps with ulterior motives.
New Locations
Shadow of the Erdtree takes players beyond the Lands Between to explore the Land of Shadow, a completely new world from Elden Ring. Players can seamlessly travel back and forth between its vast maps interspersed with diverse situations and meticulous dungeons where menacing enemies roam.

New Weapons, Equipment, and Magic
The expansion adds new weapons, equipment, weapon skills, and magic not found in the base game Elden Ring. These new additions further increase players’ RPG freedom and provide them with new powers to take on the threat.
New Enemies and Boss Encounters
Shadow of the Erdtree introduces new enemies and boss encounters to the game. These new challenges will test the skills of players and provide them with new experiences.
New Plotlines
The expansion also adds new plotlines to the game. These plotlines provide players with more depth and understanding of the world of Elden Ring.
In addition to the paid expansion, Elden Ring also features free DLC in the form of an update that introduced the Colosseum battles. In these battles, players can engage in new PvP modes and six-player multiplayer.
The Elden Ring expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, is set to release on June 21, 2024, and will cost USD 39.99. It promises to bring a new adventure to the Tarnished in the Lands Between and unravel the hidden mystery of the world.
