Elden Ring, the action RPG from FromSoftware, offers players a variety of classes to choose from, one of which is the Samurai. The Samurai class in Elden Ring is a versatile and powerful choice for both newcomers and veterans of the game.

The Samurai class is characterized by its high dexterity, which allows players to effectively wield Katanas and bows, making it possible to defeat enemies at any range. This class is particularly beneficial for players who prefer a balanced approach to combat, offering both close-quarters and ranged attack options.

The Samurai class starts with a high dexterity stat, making it proficient with melee weapons, most notably Katanas. Moreover, their high endurance, strength, and vigor make them last longer in combat. They also start off with moderate intelligence, so players can further work on improving it and change their combat style down the line if they prefer working with magic.

In addition to its high dexterity, the Samurai class also begins the game with a Katana, a bow, arrows, and a shield, making it one of the most well-equipped characters from the beginning of the game. As players progress through Elden Ring, they’ll need to invest more Runes into intellect and strength if they plan on using several of the high-level Katanas, as well as dexterity for some of the bows.

The Samurai class is not only strong and dexterous but also has high endurance. This makes them an extremely beginner-friendly class. Not only that, but they also start off with both melee and ranged weapons!

One of the unique aspects of the Samurai class is the Unsheathe skill, which can only be applied to Katanas. This skill allows players to sheathe their blade and hold it at the hip, then follow up with a normal or strong attack. This can be particularly effective in battles, allowing the Samurai to deal significant damage to enemies.

While boss fights in Elden Ring may prove to be more challenging for Samurai players, they’ll excel in any fight on horseback given the nature of their stat increases. The only Talisman that players really need in this class is the Lord of Blood’s Exultation, as it increases the attack power of anyone with the item as the bleeding effect occurs in the surrounding area. Since Katanas can apply the Hemorrhage effect in mid-range melee combat, Samurai players will find themselves dealing a lot of damage as a battle continues in Elden Ring.

In conclusion, the Samurai class in Elden Ring is a strong and versatile choice that offers a balanced approach to combat. With its high dexterity and the ability to effectively wield both melee and ranged weapons, the Samurai class is a great choice for both newcomers and veterans of the game.
