The Lantern Festival is a traditional Chinese festival celebrated on the 15th day of the first month in the lunisolar Chinese calendar. It marks the end of the Chinese New Year celebrations and is characterized by various activities, the most notable of which is the lighting and flying of colorful lanterns.

However, the Lantern Festival is not typically a competition that one can win. It’s a time for people to come together to celebrate, to light lanterns, and to enjoy the festive atmosphere. The lanterns are often adorned with riddles, and it’s a common practice for people to try and solve these riddles.

The lanterns themselves are symbolic. Their round shape symbolizes wholeness and unity, and the light they emit is a symbol of brightness and warmth in the midst of the cold winter.

That being said, there are certain events related to the Lantern Festival where competitions might be held. For instance, in the city of San Fernando in the Philippines, a Giant Lantern Festival is held annually. In the 114th Giant Lantern Festival, Barangay San Juan won the grand prize.

So, while there isn’t a winner of the Lantern Festival in the traditional sense, there are related events and celebrations where competitions are held and winners are declared. But the primary purpose of the Lantern Festival is not competition, but celebration and unity.
