Australian television host and actor Daniel MacPherson is well-known for his appearances as PC Cameron Tait in The Bill, Joel Samuels in Neighbours, Sergeant Samuel Wyatt in Sky, and Strike Back on Cinemax.

When MacPherson was sixteen years old, his competitors in the Kurnell triathlon in southern Sydney led to his discovery. In 2009, MacPherson participated in the Hawaiian Ironman, completing the race in 10 hours and 32 minutes. Macpherson qualified for both the 2013 and 2014 Ironman 70.3 World Championships.
