Marco Troper tragically passed away on February 13, 2024, at the tender age of 19. Marco was the beloved son of former YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki and her husband, Dennis Troper.

Marco’s bright light dimmed far too soon, as he was found unresponsive in his dormitory at the University of California, Berkeley, where he was pursuing his passion for mathematics as a freshman.
Described by those who knew him as kind-hearted, intelligent, and full of life, Marco touched the hearts of many during his lifetime. His infectious laughter and compassionate nature endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Though Marco’s journey was cut short, his memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
He leaves behind his grieving parents, Susan and Dennis, his grandparents, Esther and Stanley Wojcicki, and a multitude of relatives and friends who cherished him deeply.
A private memorial service will be held to celebrate Marco’s life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to organizations dedicated to supporting mental health and addiction awareness, in honor of Marco’s memory.
