Together, Don and Cathy were blessed with three children—a son and two daughters—who were the center of their world and the source of immense pride and joy.
Their eldest child, Don Gullett Jr., entered the world on August 11, 1971, marking the beginning of their journey as parents. Following in his father’s footsteps, Don Jr. pursued a career in baseball, driven by a passion for the sport instilled in him by his father.
A graduate of Shawnee State University, Don Jr. embarked on a coaching career, making significant contributions to various teams and earning accolades along the way.
From his tenure at Northern Kentucky University to his role as head coach at Turpin High, Don Jr. demonstrated a dedication to the sport and a commitment to nurturing young talent, earning recognition as Coach of the Year for his outstanding leadership.

While Don Jr.’s achievements in the baseball world garnered attention, Gullett’s two daughters, Tracey and Angela, remained out of the public eye, choosing to lead more private lives. Angela, however, has shared glimpses of their family life through social media platforms like Facebook, offering a peek into the close-knit bond they shared as a family.
Tragically, Don Gullett’s passing on February 14, 2024, marked the end of an era for the Gullett family, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and familial bonds that will endure for generations to come.
Though he may no longer be with us, his memory lives on through the lasting impact he made on his children and the countless lives he touched throughout his illustrious career.
