Bob Moore, the visionary founder of Bob’s Red Mill, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was 94 years old.

Bob Moore will be fondly remembered by his three sons, Ken, Bob Jr., and David, his nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and the countless lives he touched through his passion for natural foods. His legacy of integrity, kindness, and innovation will continue to inspire generations to come.
A private memorial service will be held for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Moore Institute in Bob’s honor.
Bob’s journey began with humble origins in Los Angeles. His entrepreneurial spirit led him through various endeavors, from managing a gas station to overseeing a Firestone store and even operating a goat farm.

However, it was a serendipitous encounter with the story of John Goffe’s Mill in 1968 that sparked his lifelong passion for whole grains.
In 1974, alongside his beloved wife Charlee and their two sons, Bob took a leap of faith and founded Moores’ Flour Mill, later rebranded as Bob’s Red Mill.
From its modest beginnings, the company flourished under Bob’s leadership, becoming a global icon in the natural and organic food industry. His commitment to quality and whole grains resonated deeply with health-conscious consumers worldwide.
Bob Moore’s spirit will live on through the wholesome goodness he brought to the world.
