Born in Beersheba, he is the third son of Meir and Esther Ohana, Maghrebi Jewish immigrants from Morocco.

Their journey from Morocco to Israel reflects the rich tapestry of the Israeli immigrant experience and the resilience of families seeking a better future for themselves and their children.

In his youth, Ohana’s family relocated to Lehavim and later settled in Rishon LeZion, where he spent his formative years surrounded by the warmth and love of his parents and siblings.

From an early age, Ohana demonstrated a strong sense of dedication and commitment, values instilled in him by his hardworking parents.

Ohana’s journey into public service began with his service in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), where he served with distinction as a road accident investigator in the Military Police.

During his tenure in the IDF, he played a vital role in securing traffic arteries in the Gaza Strip and southern Israel, showcasing his dedication to ensuring the safety and security of his fellow citizens.

Following his military service, Ohana pursued higher education, studying law at the College of Management Academic Studies.

Upon earning his LLB, he embarked on a career in law, interning with the Israeli Justice Ministry in the State Prosecutor’s Office. Subsequently, he honed his skills as a lawyer specializing in criminal law, dedicating over a decade to advocating for justice and upholding the rule of law.

Amidst his professional pursuits, Ohana remains deeply rooted in his family values and the support of his parents, Meir and Esther Ohana. Their unwavering encouragement and guidance have been instrumental in shaping Ohana’s character and guiding his path towards public service and leadership.
